Snot, drool, coughs, vicks and giggles...
The title pretty much sums up the last few weeks here at the Thomas house. Abi got her first ever cold - fever, cough, lots of night time waking up, tossing and turning. Sadly it fell RIGHT on her 1st birthday - along with a RANDOM snow storm on the east coast. Despite the snow, and due to our next few weekends being planned, we went ahead with her little b-day gathering. :) SO thankful for those that trudged out in the crazy snow to come see the little bug. It was just a relaxing day of food, a few close friends, and celebrating our precious little bug - Abigail Lillie.
That being said, I have been on a mission the last few months to really suck the marrow out the alone time I have with her. Ms. Victoria Ella will be here in a few short weeks, and I'm honestly torn. I love my days with Abi-lou - laughing, watching her explore, learn and grow. At this point I'm thinking I'm really gonna miss just hanging out with her, just the two of us. I kind of wish I could fast forward through all the crazy of the first few months of a newborn, and get on to the set day to day routine, that we have now. But of course...those first few snuggly months of a newborn are just too great for the heart to pass through so quickly. :) Thus...I'm torn. :)
Just as bug was getting over the mountain of her cold...Daddy (aka:Ben) picked up a nasty dry cough and 1 day of fever. The good news of this cold was that he worked from home, which we gals LOVE! :) He's feeling much better these days, while Ab has a nice little snotty nose again - but no fever and "I dont want to eat or drink anything" symptoms! Glory!!
Victoria (Tori) will be here in just 4 short weeks. Diapers are bought, clothes unpacked and put in her very own little crates. Put the Moses basket back on the stand, and wa-la, we're as ready as we'll ever be. :)
Seeing how the new gal will be coming right around Christmas - the plan is to get our tree and all ready before then. :) Seeing how I have been listening to Christmas music for a few months now :), I'm READY to get the season here! haha.
