Hello Fall!
One thing that I have to get used to here in NYC is the short summer, brief fall, LONG winter, and (as of this year) SUPER rainy spring that goes into June. Fall is my favorite time of the year, thus Ab and I have doubled up our daily walks, and we walk a little slower these days. I love seeing her face light up and her little chunky finger point as the leaves fall off the trees. Ugh, it's amazing the depth of love one has for a child. It's a whole new realm of love I tell ya, and it's scary and warm/cozy all at the same time.
A few weeks ago I was able to join my dear friend Evita and a few other moms on a trip to an apple orchard. :) It was Ab's first time, and my first in taking my own kiddie, and not school kids. I loved it. She wasn't quite sure about everything or how to pick apples just yet, but just getting into the great outdoors she loves - along with the apples! :)
We officially decided on a name for our next little bundle, which is due to arrive right at Christmas. Victoria Ella Thomas, who will be called Tori - NOT Vicky! :) I'm now 32 weeks pregnant and her moves have gotten to that slow full feeling, with little flutters here and there. She's not at all comfy if I lay on my back, but quite content on sides. She is proving to be a bit more of a hard kicker than Ab was - although Abi could throw some mean rib shots. I'm starting to get that nesting itch - which is a little harder to scratch with a little crawler/"hold my finger" so I can walk mommy, cuteness in our house. But...here's to hoping. At recent I'm looking for a dresser/organizer of some sorts to put all of Abi's newborn, hand-me-downs in for Tori. If I can find that - oh...the nesting itch would get a HUGE scratch for sure! Plastic bags in my bedroom corner are getting WAY old. :)
This Sunday Abi-lou turns 1!!! I can hardly believe it. Seriously it seems like we just brought her home like 6 months ago. Her little personality is coming out, and she is just a sweet, cuddly, giggly, animal and music loving little gal. She seriously keeps us laughing.
In final news I'm quite a bit giddy about getting away for a weekend in November with my love and baby girl. We're gonna head up to Hudson, NY for a few days, just to get away and relax before little Tori gets here. Poor Ben hasn't had a single day of vacation in over a year - so, we're gonna do a little 4 days weekend getaway involving some trail hiking, being outdoors as much as possible, antiquing, and sleeping! :) I really am giddy about it! :):)
Well, that's about all from the Bronx. I'll leave you with some pics of this month - so far.
Much love!
Abi's new favorite face to make :)
